Eating Freely

1:1 support through a 14-session program with a certified eating freely practitioner

Overcome your emotional eating and binge eating habits, and trade in your disordered relationship with food, (which includes shame and guilt), to create a healthy and nourishing relationship with food (that includes joy and fulfillment!)

Are Any Of These True For You? You:

  • Are desperately trying to stop emotional eating or binge eating when all you really want to do is eat well and feel healthy
  • Tend to find yourself halfway through a carton of cookies, bag of chips, or other go-to food after a long, stressful day without thinking it through or even realizing it was happening until it was too late
  • Emotionally drained and rush through each day grabbing whatever food is in reach, or using fast-food drive-throughs as your quick go-to as you seek true nourishment
  • Tired of saying “I’ll start again on Monday”, but never getting past Wednesday
  • Think you’ll never fit into a ‘healthy range’ of weight and will forever be chasing a number on a scale
  • Feel shame and blame and think something is wrong with you and your body
  • Think you’ll never break free of the emotional and binge eating cycle
  • Food continues to control your decisions more than you'd like to admit
  • Think you’ll always need to be on some kind of "diet" the rest of your life with little hope of actually seeing positive results that are sustainable
  • Are fed up with your 'Inner Critic' constantly beating you up and making you feel worse
  • Have tried all the diet programs out there with no long-term weight loss success
  • ARE READY to try something different that has been proven to actually work (because you DESERVE it!)

If any of this feels familiar then you are in the right place!

Emotional eating is something that affects each and every one of us differently.  Afterall, we ALL have emotions and we ALL eat.  But when you feel trapped in a cycle of emotional or binge eating and guilty regret, it is easy to feel like you are all alone. I assure you that you are NOT alone and there is help available.

I understand exactly how you feel, and that’s why I want to introduce you to Eating Freely, a program to help you heal your relationship with food.

How is the Eating Freely Program Different?

The Eating Freely program is NOT a Weight Loss Program, it is a GUILT loss Program. Throughout the program, we focus on the Three F’s:

  • Feed yourself properly.
  • Forgive yourself quickly.
  • Focus on health & wellbeing, not weight loss, as the goal.

Through the Three F’s, we help you understand that you don’t need a new diet, you need a new mindset!

Through understanding how your brain is sabotaging you, discovering how beating yourself up actually encourages binging, and receiving our practical toolkit of 24/7 resources and support – you’ll start to see the changes you’ve longed for, but never achieved through dieting or exercise changes alone – because they have never been the problem.

How you FEEL, how you THINK, and how you REACT to the world – they are the real issues. Once you get to grips on how to handle these triggers, everything changes.

In this program, you will learn to be able to "eat freely" while feeling confident that you do not need to be on an official "diet" the rest of your life in order to be a certain weight and look a certain way. You will learn to offer yourself the self-compassion you have always deserved, just as you are.

You will be able to embrace pleasure from food again while not worrying about overindulging based on emotions and stress. You will be empowered in knowing you have the capability within yourself to  manage these feelings when they come up, essentially separating food from feelings.

TESTIMONIAL

The Eating Freely program feels authentic.  I loved having a true coaching session.  Rebecca as well as the program itself was willing and able to dive into my personal challenges in a way that felt intelligent and able to handle the complex relationship I have with food.  I felt seen.  I think the program created the structure that allowed Rebecca to guide me through. Rebecca did a great job creating a safe space to explore my thoughts and reflections.  I never felt rushed or redirected.  I really think this is part of what made the program so valuable to me.

I don’t think I would describe my progress in strides. I felt quietly surprised when I encountered growth.  It was subtle.  I don’t mean that it was insignificant, more that it evolved in a way that feels very natural and effortless. This isn’t a case of powerful willpower. The change feels more organic and fundamental.

I think as the program unfolded I felt a softening and growing comfort in my relationship with food.  From the start of the program through the finish, I absolutely felt like the intensity behind my emotional eating had dissipated.  I don’t think I have eliminated the habit of turning to food completely, it just doesn’t have the force or emotional toll that it did before.  The habit no longer serves me.  I usually realize pretty quickly what I am doing and “lose steam”.  Again, it is really cool how the shame is gone.

In regards to how I used to think about the number on a scale and the time I spent worrying about weight loss, I think this experience was validating.  This is how I wanted to approach my health journey.  I finally feel like someone was speaking my language.  It was a relief to have a coach affirm and support a shame-free relationship with health and weight.

I feel like the drive or power that shame used to hold or get in the way has just lost steam, and evaporated.  It's like the kick behind the thought is gone.

I loved the program.  I looked forward to each session.  I felt like the shifts it introduced were organic and well-founded.  I feel like I truly changed my relationship with food.

TESTIMONIAL

“The Eating Freely program helped me to recognize many learned habits over the years that do not serve me well or aid me in caring for myself. There are a lot of things that I learned about myself from my past and how they impact me currently and what that means for choices that I make. Rebecca helped me realize many of these habits, challenges and ideas by working through the process with me. She was very patient and encouraging and took the time to listen always. The program gives you the tools to breakthrough many difficult habits that are hard to break but you also need to have a desire to change.  It doesn't just happen like with any other diet.

Since going through the program, I feel I have a better relationship with food, which is now more nourishing than punishing. My mindset around food and emotions has evolved and emotional eating episodes have decreased.  I was able to move from motivation into action with Rebecca’s coaching and by using the tools provided in the program, such as the Habit Loop and habit interruption strategies, while also engaging in more nourishing activities. I now practice nourishment though good decisions that I have flexibility with, while breaking down habits that no longer serve me. I have less shame, blame and guilt with myself and I look at things differently than before and celebrate all changes good and bad, it's part of life. I feel more in tune with my own interoceptive awareness, such as my hunger and fullness signals, and that awareness has given me a lot of internal peace over food anxiety. I will never again seek out a “diet program” to lose weight because I cannot control my food intake and trust myself around food.”

- Deepak Chopra

What you don’t need is a new diet. You need a new mindset!

It is my most heartfelt belief that if we take the time to nourish ourselves mindfully and be grateful for how food can serve us, (instead of treating food as a quick fix to stress, loneliness, boredom, sadness, anger, or any other emotion we feel we need to “stuff away”), that we CAN all become healthier, stronger and heal our bodies, minds and spirits. We CAN have a mutually loving and nourishing relationship with food. We CAN potentially live longer with a higher quality of life as we age in years.

TESTIMONIAL

"This Eating Freely program is not about deprivation, but about learning how to have a healthy relationship with food and to use it to nourish your body instead of punishing it. As I progressed through the weekly coaching sessions, I started to notice my mindset around food and emotions were changing and evolving.  This program helped me greatly understand that food is neither good nor bad. This has helped me to greatly decrease the feelings of shame that I once felt with eating. I no longer feel as if I need to seek out diet programs the rest of my life.

Throughout the course of my Eating Freely coaching sessions with Rebecca, she “held space” for me well, through active listening, reflecting back on what I shared throughout the sessions, and created a therapeutic space where I felt acknowledged, supported, truly heard, and cared about.

By exploring in deeper coaching sessions, we tapped into some critical reasons and triggers behind my emotional eating and I am now able to work more proactively with those triggers so I am more in control of them, versus the other way around. I made progress with recognizing my “inner critical voice” and how that is not my ultimate truth, but rather a fear thought that can hold me back, which I can use mindfulness techniques to lessen or overcome. Since part of the program includes incorporating principles of mindfulness and self-compassion, I now feel more self-compassion towards myself and have mindfulness tools, such as meditations and ways to stay present and mindful instead of turning to food as a coping mechanism.  I have more confidence and trust in myself when it comes to my relationship with food."
